Paraguay’s soybean production is forecast to rebound to 10.9 million metric tons (MMT) in MY2025/26 on improved weather and modest acreage gains, following weather-driven losses the previous year.
FAS/Cairo (Post) forecasts Egypt’s soybean imports in marketing year (MY) 2025/26 (October – September) to increase by 5.0 percent from the previous marketing driven by a flexible exchange rate, the availability of forex and a more positive outlook for the livestock sectors.
On April 8, 2025, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) National Crop Variety Registration Committee (CNCVRC) published a third variety registration list for genetically modified (GM) corn and soybeans.

Private exporters reported the following sales activity: 115,000 MT of corn for delivery to unknown destinations during MY 2024/2025, 225,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to Pakistan during MY 2025/2026, and 205,000 MT of corn for delivery to Mexico - 40,000 MT for delivery during MY 2024/2025 and 165,000 MT for delivery in MY 2025/2026.
Private exporters reported the following sales activity for MY 2024/2025: 120,000 MT of corn for delivery to Spain and 110,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations.
