Supermarket Trade Show

Held annually in Tokyo, the Supermarket Trade Show attracts key buyers from supermarkets and food retailers in Japan. Nearly 90,000 visitors and 1,900 exhibitors attended the Supermarket Trade Show in 2019. The U.S. Pavilion at this USDA-endorsed show welcomed 16 exhibitors reporting close to $1.9 million in 12-month projected sales of U.S. agricultural products. U.S. exhibitors made over 123 serious business contacts and introduced 101 new products in the market. The most popular U.S. products at the show were bagels, beef hamburger, pork cutlet, turkey pastrami, turkey corn dogs, chicken wings, Calrose rice, sparkling wine, chilled sauerkraut, regular oats, blueberries, granola bar, ice cream, and protein bars. The 16 U.S. exhibitors included 7 small-to-medium size and 3 new-to-market companies.
