On June 10, 2025, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) introduced an action plan to introduce E10 and E20 gasoline. As part of this plan, Japan aims to introduce a nationwide E10 gasoline option by 2030.
Post forecasts a 10 percent growth in fuel ethanol imports to 450 million liters in 2025, prompted by gasoline pool increases and uptake of voluntary E20 (20 percent ethanol blended to gasoline).
Post estimates India’s ethanol production in calendar year (CY) 2025 to reach 10.5 billion liters (BL), marking a 46 percent increase over 2024 due to improved feedstock availability and favorable monsoon conditions.
