The trade mission offers U.S. agribusinesses the potential to increase or expand their sales to Japan, one of the United States’ top five agricultural export markets.

Private exporters reported the following activity for MY 2022/2023: 100,000 MT of corn for delivery to unknown destinations and 130,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations.
For FY 2023, USDA anticipates awarding up to $224 million in new McGovern-Dole cooperative agreements. USDA has identified the following as priority countries for FY 2023: Cameroon, Haiti, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka, and Togo.
