FY2021 agricultural exports reach record levels.
MY 2020/2021 estimates show Taiwan’s apple consumption contracting to 130,378 MT on reduced supply of imports. For MY 2021/2022, apple imports are forecast to decline another 9,000 MT to 120,000 MT.
Demand for milk and other dairy products in Taiwan are forecast to remain stable or rise slightly in 2017.
On August 30, 2017, Taiwan completed its second U.S. rice Simultaneous-Buy and Sell (SBS) tender (GF4-106-094) for 13,100 tons at the price of NT$7.209/kg (US$239/ton).
