Saudi Arabia: Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

This FAIRS Certificates Report provides list of model certificates required by Saudi Arabia’s regulatory agencies for food and agricultural products imports to Saudi Arabia. The temporary import ban imposed on U.S. beef and beef products by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) on May 9, 2012, because of an atypical BSE case in California, is still effective. In December 2012, the SFDA extended the beef import ban to include U.S. exports of pet food products containing bovine meat or beef ingredients.
