India: FSSAI notifies Microbiological Standards for Fruits and Vegetables

The Government of India’s Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has notified the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) fourth amendment regulations, 2018, with revised microbiological standards for fruits and vegetables and their products. The said notification will come in force on immediate basis and Food Business Operators (FBOs) will need to comply with all the provisions of the regulations by January 1, 2019.
