As the hotel/restaurant sector grows in El Salvador, the food service sector continues to demand more high quality, conveniently packed and innovative food products. Best growth performing categories during 2018 were juice extracts, fats/oils, flour/baking inputs, meats, dairy, condiment and sauces. The market for U.S. origin seafood was also opened in 2018.
