On December 31, 2019, China released the draft General Standard for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods (GB7718-xxxx) for domestic comments. We anticipate the draft revision to be notified to the WTO SPS Committee for WTO member comment in the near future. The General Standard for the Labelling of Prepackaged Foods (GB7718-2011), which is still in effect, was issued in April 2011, and came into force a year later.
