Chile: FAIRS Export Certificate Report

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

This report lists and describes certificates and other documents that must accompany food and agricultural imports to Chile as required by Chilean regulations. In 2018, Chile only updated the requirements for the Bovine Semen Health Certificate. Chile’s Ministry of Agriculture’s (MOA) Sanitary and Livestock Service (SAG) authorities stress that all the information contained in either the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) or the Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) sanitary certificate matches the name, address and official number on the packaging label (s) of the shipped product, otherwise, shipments will be rejected. On December 18, 2018, SAG notified FAS Santiago that it will no longer accept documents that do not comply with Chilean regulations after January 31, 2019.
