Canada: Canada Consultation on Standards for Diced or Cubed White Potatoes

On January 21, 2022, Canada announced a 30-day consultation on the maximum size for diced or cubed white potatoes packaged in hermetically sealed packages. Proposed changes are to increase the maximum dice size from 10 mm (3/8 in) to 20 mm (3/4 in) for all three grades of potatoes. There will be a 6-month transition period upon final publication of the standards.
