Fine Food Australia is the country's largest trade-only exhibition for the foodservice, hospitality, and retail industries in the southern hemisphere and attracts visitors and buyers from all over the Asia Pacific Region. Australian consumers have a keen interest in U.S. food products, making this an excellent marketing opportunity. Each year, Fine Food Australia alternates between being held in Melbourne and Sydney. In 2018, the U.S. Pavilion at this USDA-endorsed show in Melbourne welcomed 15 exhibitors reporting nearly $5.5 million in 12-month projected sales of U.S. agricultural products and attracted over 26,000 visitors. U.S. exhibitors made over 163 serious business contacts and introduced 80 new products in the market.  Visitors to the USA Pavilion found a wide range of innovative products from the United States, including flash frozen ice cream balls, chia jams, nut butters, organic mints, canned cherries, fruit chips, and flavored mineral waters. The 15 U.S. exhibitors included 6 small-to-medium size and 3 new-to-market companies.
