Vietnam: Vietnam National Assembly Passes the Animal Husbandry Law

This report provides an unofficial translation of the Law on Animal Husbandry that was passed by the Vietnam National Assembly on November 19, 2018. This law provides a legal framework on livestock production, livestock breeds, animal feed, humanitarian treatment of livestock, processing and marketing of livestock products and the state management of animal husbandry. This law shall enter into force from January 1, 2020 and replaces the 2004 Ordinance on Livestock Breeds.
