This report is an annual update of Senegal’s food and feed regulations and governmental enforcement mechanisms and bodies. It includes references to the Codex Alimentarius system, as well as, guidance on import procedures and documentation. In 2013, Senegal revised its food standards and issued new standards mainly related to the methods for conducting pysicochemical tests and fatty content. The standards are available upon request to the Association Senegalaise de Normalisation (ASN).

Turkey: Turkish Government Intervenes in Lemon Exports

The Ministry of Trade temporarily banned lemon exports as of April 8, 2025, due to a predicted supply shortage following cold weather and frost damage in the southeast.
The European Parliament took an initial step to open market access for beet and oilseed planting seeds from Ukraine. The EU approved cereal planting seeds from Ukraine in 2020.
