Following the completion of the wheat harvest, Post has revised the wheat production forecast down to 17.25 MMT in MY 2016/17.
Pakistan has announced that 900,000 metric tons of wheat will be available for export with a subsidy of $120 per metric ton.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture’s crop assessment, Algeria’s MY2016/2017 grain production reached 3.3 MMT compared to 4.0 MMT the previous year.

On August 2, 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) released its Fourth Advance Estimate for Indian Crop Year (ICY) 2015/16 (July/June).
FAS/Moscow increased its July 2016 grain production forecast by 6.8 million metric tons (MMT) to 114.5 MMT.
Post’s (MY) 2016/17 corn and sorghum production estimates have been revised downward from USDA/Official forecast due to smaller than previously estimated planted area and irregular weather conditions.
MY2016/17 rice and corn crops are in good condition despite the planting delay as precipitation has returned to normal.
