Philippines: Grain and Feed Update
Post concurs with the official USDA estimates for wheat and rice. For corn, production was pared down slightly from 8.0 million tons to 7.9 million tons in MY 2016/17. Some corn growing areas were negatively impacted by the lingering effects of El Niño weather patterns, which continued into 2016 and brought about unusually dry conditions.
