Russia: Poultry and Products Annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

In 2019, Russian chicken meat production is forecast to grow 1.2 percent to 4.78 MMT. Consolidation in the poultry industry continues to favor large companies that can access credit and can undertake major investments to improve productivity; however, overcapacity is squeezing profit margins. Domestic demand for chicken meat remains stable, while exports continue to steadily grow despite high production costs and recurring challenges with Avian Influenza.
