Russia: Draft Amendments to EAEU Pest List Notified to WTO

On June 6, 2018, Russia notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of draft amendments to the Unified EAEU List of Quarantine Pests via G/SPS/N/RUS/150. Russia initiated the change in order to add dwarf bunt of wheat to the Unified EAEU Pest List and meet the requirements of its wheat importers. The public comment period for the draft will close on August 5, 2018. Interested U.S. parties are encouraged to share their comments and/or concerns with USDA’s enquiry point (us.spsenquirypoint@fas.usda.gov). For potential inclusion in the U.S. official position, please send your comments by July 23, 2018.
