Russia: Draft Amendments to EAEU Food Labeling Regulation

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the regulatory body of the Armenia-Belarus-KazakhstanKyrgyzstan-Russia Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), published draft amendments No. 1 to the EAEU Technical Regulation “On Food Products Labeling” for public comments. In particular, the draft specifies the criteria for legibility, adequacy and clarity of food labeling. The EEC’s comment period for this draft started on February 2, 2016, and will close on April 18, 2016.
