Mexico: Mexico Announces Poultry and Products Restrictions Due to HPAI

Mexico’s SENASICA announced a ban earlier this week on all poultry and poultry products originating in the state of California, including egg products, hatching eggs, and baby chicks. They also announced additional testing requirements for poultry from contiguous and nearby states. The implementation of these restrictions has caused trade disruptions for poultry transiting through California ports into Mexico. The situation continues to evolve.
