Japan: Second Review Meeting for GE Food Labeling Requirements

On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, the Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) of the Government of Japan (GOJ) held the second review committee meeting for the labeling of food containing genetically engineered (GE) food and ingredients. This meeting focused on the views and concerns of representatives from consumer groups and included a presentation from an expert on consumer surveys in Japan.
