Japan: Japan Notifies WTO of Revised Tylosin Residue Standards

On June 3, 2019, Japan notified the World Trade Organization of draft amendments to the maximum residue levels (MRL) for the veterinary drug/feed additive, Tylosin, via G/SPS/N/JPN/651. There will be no public comment period established for this proposal as this proposal relaxes the regulation. However, interested U.S. parties are welcomed to share their comments and/or concerns with USDA’s enquiry point (us.spsenquirypoint@fas.usda.gov).

The General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) requires enterprises be registered with the Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety before exporting most food and beverage products as part of the requirements enumerated in Decree 248.
