India: FSSAI Sets Standards for Chromium Present in Gelatin

The Government of India’s (GOI) Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) amended the Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues) Regulations, 2011, regarding standards for levels of chromium present in gelatin. The GOI is currently seeking public comments for the draft regulations and has established October 10, 2015,as the deadline for comments.
