Wheat consumption in marketing year (MY) 2025/2026 (July 2025/June 2026) in Haiti is forecast at 435,000 metric tons (MT), 1 percent higher compared to the previous period last year due to expected population growth. Rice imports in MY 2025/2026 are forecast to rise by 2 percent, reaching 515,000 MT compared to last MY, driven by local demand and the strategic expansion of rice inventories.
