Ethiopia: Ethiopia’s Ag Imports Continue Growing

Ethiopia’s agriculture imports reached $1.8 billion in 2015. Future imports are expected to increase as the country’s economy and population continue to grow. Palm oil, sugar, and wheat were the three largest agriculture imports by value in 2015. Presently, commercial imports of U.S. agricultural products (excluding food aid) are about $20 million each year.
