China: Cannabidiol to be Regulated as Precursor Chemical

On August 2, 2024, several ministries and regulatory bodies in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) jointly announced that seven substances including cannabidiol (CBD) are subject to the management controls of precursor chemicals starting from September 1, 2024. This report provides an unofficial translation of the announcement with a focus on portions related to CBD management.
