The country is a net importer of almonds which is the leading premium noble nut on the market and enjoys stable and increasing demand. The Unites States is the main supplier on the market with record exports to Bulgaria in 2014 and a market share exceeding 60%. Bulgaria is a net producer and exporter of walnuts.
