Brazil: Oilseeds and Products Update

Post forecasts 2018/19 production at 123 million metric tons (mmt), a 3 percent increase on the previous season. The increase in production is due to planting area expansion amid expectations of continued strong prices for Brazilian soybeans. Soybean exports are forecast at a record. In Marketing Year (MY) 2018/19, Brazil is forecast to export 75.5 mmt of soybeans, a slight increase over MY 2017/18 on the back of robust demand by China.
