The U.S. Department of Agriculture will spearhead a trade mission to Guatemala City, Guatemala, from March 3-7, to strengthen trade ties and expand U.S. agricultural exports across Central America. The mission includes more than two dozen agribusinesses, trade organizations, and representatives from two state departments of agriculture.

SIAL Paris is a biennial international food trade show and is one of the largest food innovation exhibitions in the world. USDA, through its administration of the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition (McGovern-Dole) Program, is the largest global donor to school feeding efforts, providing U.S. agricultural commodities, funding, and technical assistance to reduce hunger, support nutrition, and improve literacy and primary education, especially for girls, around the world.

Private exporters reported the following sales activity: 150,000 MT of hard red spring wheat for delivery to Iraq during MY 2022/2023 and 1,866,900 MT of corn for delivery to Mexico - 1,242,060 MT during MY 2022/2023 and 624,840 MT during MY 2023/2024.
