Vietnam: Rice Weekly - Situation for the week from Aug. 2 to 8 - 2014

Vietnam rice export prices decreased for 5 and 10 percent broken rice last week. This is due to the ban from the Chinese authority for unofficial cross border rice sales from Vietnam. Paddy prices were unchanged at high level last week. As farmers claim that farm stocks are thin and the seasonal flooding in the Mekong River Delta has been started going high.
