Venezuela: Venezuela Agricultural Imports Grow 9 Percent in 2024 with the United States among Leading Suppliers

Venezuelan agricultural imports in 2024 grew 9 percent year-on-year to $3 billion. Agricultural imports experienced a 15 percent year-on-year increase in volume, driven by rising demand and a slight reduction in import prices. Agricultural imports from the United States totaled $800 million, an increase of 19 percent year on year and the highest level since 2014. The primary U.S. agricultural exports to Venezuela included soybean meal, corn, wheat, soybeans, rice, and various consumer products. The United States remained the second-largest exporter of agricultural products to Venezuela, with a 26 percent market share, second to Brazil.
