South Korea: Grain and Feed Update

The FAS Seoul June 2021 Grain and Feed update covers changes to the Korean rice situation since the March 2021 Grain and Feed Annual report. MY 2021/22 rice production, consumption, and imports are unchanged from FAS Seoul’s initial forecast, which included a projected 8 percent increase in Korean rice production this year. Auctions under the 2021 TRQ for U.S. rice have been slower this year due to COVID-19 related challenges, with 31 percent of the TRQ auctioned as of June 2021.
