The FAS Seoul June 2021 Grain and Feed update covers changes to the Korean rice situation since the March 2021 Grain and Feed Annual report. MY 2021/22 rice production, consumption, and imports are unchanged from FAS Seoul’s initial forecast, which included a projected 8 percent increase in Korean rice production this year. Auctions under the 2021 TRQ for U.S. rice have been slower this year due to COVID-19 related challenges, with 31 percent of the TRQ auctioned as of June 2021.
