South Africa: Grain and Feed Update

South Africa should return as a net exporter of corn in the 2016/17 MY wtih about one million tons on higher production. For the 2015/16 MY, post estimates that South Africa will have to import about 3.5 million tons of corn, as drought reduced normal corn production by more than 40 percent. In the 2014/15 MY, South Africa imported almost 2.0 million tons of corn to augment local production.
