This report describes the major export certificates required by the Government of the Dominican Republic (GoDR) for imports of food and agricultural products. No substantive changes were published as of June 2024.

The Dominican Republic (DR) is ranked among the top three destination markets in the Western Hemisphere and within the top 12 markets globally for U.S. consumer-oriented products.

The Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR)[1] region and Panama combine to represent the seventh-largest market for U.S consumer-oriented products, totaling $3.7 billion in 2022.

U.S. agricultural exports to the Dominican Republic reached an all-time record of $2.2 billion in 2022; a 14 percent increase from the previous record set last year. The increase in U.S. exports was driven mainly by increased demand for consumer-oriented products.
