On June 15th, Egypt postponed its launch of the Advanced Clearance Information system (ACI). The Minister of Finance pushed the 1st of July deadline of full implementation of the new system to October 1st, 2021 citing the delay had been requested by several companies and diplomatic missions.

Japan: 242nd Food Safety Group

On July 16, 2021, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) proposed revisions to Japan’s maximum residue levels for 11 agricultural chemicals (MCPA, MCPB, Captan, Cyazofamid, Pyriofenone, Fluoxastrobin, Procymidone, Mandestrobin, Cypermethrin, Albendazole, and Zeranol) for various agricultural commodities.
The Government of Japan (GOJ) published a report outlining measures to address next steps in the Export Expansion Action Strategy for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Products and Food.
