Brazil is the second largest beef producing country and the largest beef exporting country in the world. Post expects decreased slaughter in 2025, due to the forecast start of the reversion of the cattle cycle.

After the longest recession in history, Brazil was predicted to kick-start economic growth in 2018.

MY 2018/2019 corn production is forecast at a record 101 million metric tons (MMT), 25 percent higher than MY 2017/2018 production and 2.5 MMT larger than the previous record harvest in MY 2016/2017.
