Australian winter crop production is forecast to decline significantly in 2017/18 due to less favorable seasonal conditions and in response to low world prices.
Post forecasts Australian sugar production to decline to 4.8 million MT in 2017/18 after a tropical cyclone hit northern Queensland in late March 2017.
In 2016/17, cotton production is expected to reach 2.5 million bales, assuming the continuation of average seasonal conditions.
