Mexico’s poultry and egg sectors continue their steady growth in production, bolstered by recent expansion, low cost feed and strong demand.
Production of feed grains is expected to increase slightly over the review period, due in part to government incentive programs.
Post/New marketing year (MY) 2016/17 total Mexican cotton production is forecast to decrease approximately 4 percent due to an expected decrease in planted area.
The marketing year (MY) 2016/17 corn production is forecast at 22.6 MMT with harvested area estimated at 6.95 million hectares.
