This report is an update of the Biotechnology Annual Report 2015 providing information on the status of biotechnology in Romania.

Deciduous fruit production is foreseen to recover in 2016, despite episodes of high temperature variations.

Domestic consumption for beef and pork meat is predicted to continue rising stimulated by abundant supply in the EU on one hand and the fiscal measure reducing the VAT rate for food products.
