Argentine sugar exports in marketing year (MY) 2024/2025 are projected at 625,000 tons raw value, the largest in the past 15 years due to the combination of expected large production and large stocks of sugar passed in from the previous marketing year.
Post forecasts Argentina soybean production at 51 million metric tons (MMT) in marketing year (MY) 2024/2025 as production returns to assuming good weather in the year ahead and increased soy planting at the expense of wheat and corn, particularly in late or second crop soy.
Argentine sugar production for 2015/16 is projected up at 2.25 million metric tons.
Post forecasts Calendar Year (CY) 2016 grape production at 2.67 million metric tons (MMT) under normal weather conditions and maintaining the current good sanitary conditions of the vineyards.
Argentine wheat production for crop 2015/16 is forecast down at 12 million tons due to a projected smaller planted area.
Post forecasts 2015/16 soybean area at 20.3 million hectares, marginally lower than Post’s 2014/15 area estimate, though up 2.5 percent from USDA 2014/15 estimates.
