In June 2014, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare established the Food Additive Designation Consultation Center (FADCC) to assist companies with applications for food additive use in Japan.
On October 7, 2014, the Government of Japan announced proposed standards of use for Canthaxanthin (a food additive) and changes to the Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) for seven agricultural chemicals.
