This monthly report includes data on U.S. and global trade, production, consumption and stocks, as well as analysis of developments affecting world trade in cotton.

Post estimates cotton production at 28.9 million 480-lb bales in marketing year (MY) 2020/21 on an area of 12.9 million hectares.

Updated data from the Mexican State Committees of Plant Health and producer associations shows a higher than expected reduction in cotton planted area for marketing year (MY) 2020/21.
