2024 U.S. Agricultural Export Yearbook

The 2024 U.S. Agricultural Export Yearbook provides a statistical summary of U.S. agricultural commodity exports to the world during the 2024 calendar year.
On May 16, 2025, Brazil, the world’s largest chicken meat exporter, reported its first case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in a commercial plant. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has initiated measures to resolve the case, including a sanitary void period as of May 22nd for 28 days.
Poland is the largest EU poultry meat producer, accounting for 21 percent of total EU production. Despite expectations for rising poultry production in 2025 due to growing demand and lower production costs, the spread of animal diseases throughout the country in March and April 2025 have begun to weigh on Polish production.

Malaysia: Malaysia to End Egg Subsidy Program

The Malaysian government will end chicken egg subsidies effective August 1, 2025 as part of a broader shift from blanket subsidies to targeted assistance. Current ceiling prices for certain grades of eggs remain unchanged.
On February 22, 2024, India’s Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying/Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, issued Office Memorandum File No. L-110109(3)/1/2016-Trade (E-2625) outlining the parameters for premium frozen duck meat for import into India.

United Arab Emirates: Poultry and Products Annual

UAE chicken meat imports are forecast to increase in 2024 as domestic production expansion is unable to fulfill rising demand. Brazil’s market share is expected to continue to grow.
On February 19, 2024, India's Ministry of Finance (MoF)/Department of Revenue issued Notification No. 10/2024-Customs in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (i) (official gazette), lowering import duties levied on frozen turkey (meat) and edible offal, cranberries, and blueberries.
In February 2024, U.S. exporters regained market access to the Colombian poultry market, valued at over $100 million annually.
