Soybean imports are expected to reach 2.42 million metric tons (MMT), reflecting additional crush capacity, as well as strong soybean meal and oil demand.
Ecuador’s sugar production in marketing year (MY) 2015/16 is estimated at 576,000 metric tons (MT), down 49,000 MT or over seven percent lower than in MY 2014/15.
Estonian farmers can expect another good harvest in MY2016/17. It is forecast that total grain production will diminish to 1.3 million MT, 15 percent lower than last year.
In Latvia another good harvest is expected. In 2016/17 total grain production is forecast to amount to 2.4 million MT. Due to a relatively mild winter grain plantings are assumed well.
