Lack of adequate rainfall during the winter affected crop development significantly. Post forecasts MY 2019/20 production at 2.88 MMT for common wheat, 1.23 MMT for durum wheat, and 1.01 MMT for barley. Imports are expected to increase to 4.80 MMT for all wheat and 0.50 MMT barley.
