Kyrgyzstan: Draft Amendments to EAEU Regionalization Procedure Notified to WTO

On July 21, 2020, the Kyrgyz Republic notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of draft amendments to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Regionalization Procedure via G/SPS/N/KGZ/13. The draft measure establishes a procedure for the authorized bodies of the EAEU Member States to recognize regionalization of the territory of a third country, carried out by the competent authority of the third country or by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). The public comment period for the draft will close on September 19, 2020. Interested U.S. parties are encouraged to share their comments and/or concerns with USDA’s enquiry point (us.spsenquirypoint@fas.usda.gov). For potential inclusion in the U.S. official position, please send your comments by September 6, 2020.
