On August 16, 2017, The Ministry of Agriculture revised the Indian crop year (ICY) 2016/17 (JulyJune) grain production higher to a record 275.7 million metric tons (MMT), a marginal increase over the third advance estimate (May 2017), but more than 4 percent higher than the previous record production in ICY 2013/14. The MY 2016/17 PSDs for rice, corn, sorghum and millet and 2017/18 PSDs for wheat and barley have been revised to reflect the latest revisions in the official estimates.
