India: FSSAI Recognizes Technological Need of Lecithin in Infant Formula

The Government of India’s Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a directive that permits the use of lecithin as an emulsifier in infant food formulas, up to 0.5 grams for every 100 grams of formula, until the final regulation on infant nutrition comes into effect.
