China: MOF SCTC Announces Adding 34 Percent Tariff on All Goods Originating from United States

On April 4, 2025, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) State Council Tariff Commission (SCTC) announced that China will impose retaliatory tariffs on all U.S. goods. According to the SCTC 2025 Announcement No. 4, the duties would be an additional 34 percent on the current applicable tariff basis. Further, the tariffs would apply to anything not shipped out of the United States before April 10 and that had not arrived in China and imported by the end of day on May 13, 2025.
