China: Import Tariff Quota Certificates Issued Electronically and Verified Online

On December 26, several authorities of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) issued Announcement No. 132 of 2022 related to the development of an online verification program of several agricultural and related product import tariff quota certificates. PRC authorities discontinued issuing paper quota certificates and have move towards now issuing electronic quota certificates for several agricultural products (i.e., grains), fertilizers, and cotton. This report contains an unofficial translation of the announcement.
